Update 4/1/08: Here is video with more craptastic information about the lovely TSA and how they are here to help you. Let’s just hope that they get friendlier attitudes along with these new “advancements” in their strip search of your personal space.
I cannot be the only person out there thinking that security at airports is getting beyond ridiculous… can I? I enjoy my freedoms, but I also enjoy my security. When I go to the airport I expect to be safe and comfortable. I would never suspect a woman to rip the jewelry out of her tender nipples in order to hijack the plane and put the people aboard at risk.
I just read about a 37 year old Texas woman named Mandi Hamlin who had to remove her painful piercings after the female employee scanned her chest with the hand metal sensor. I know it is security measures, but they went a little overboard with this. Hamlin offered to expose her piercings after being told to step behind a curtain and remove the piercings or miss her flight.
“Still crying, she informed the TSA officer that she could not remove it without the help of pliers, and the officer gave a pair to her,” said Hamlin’s attorney, Gloria Allred, reading from a letter she sent Thursday to the director of the TSA’s Office of Civil Rights and Liberties. Allred is a Los Angeles lawyer who often represents high-profile claims.
She said she heard male TSA agents snickering as she took out the ring. She was scanned again and was allowed to board even though she still was wearing a belly button ring.
“After nipple rings are inserted, the skin can often heal around the piercing, and the rings can be extremely difficult and painful to remove,” Allred said in the letter.
Sorry to have ranted on this, but it just peeves me that this happened… I definitely would fight to keep my piercings in, what if you had an even more private piercing like say your clit? or a Prince Albert? Jacob’s Ladder? I really would hate to have to be one of those people who have 12 piercings on a super sensitive area.
This is what I like to see from the TSA:

What do you think these girls are trying to accomplish by claiming to have been mistreated by the flight attendants “were like older ladies.” Wow, doesn’t the word “like” make a statement appear more intelligent?
Ms. Swedberg complained about the treatment she received on the flight. She claims that she asked for a bottle of water when she boarded the flight, but was told she would be served after the other passengers. Apparently when the flight attendant went around serving, Ms. Swedberg was skipped. That all sounds like a 18-year-old “I think that is what happened story.” No way is a flight attendant going to jeopardized their job by saying those things, or skipping someone. Now to me, this sounds like Ms. Swedberg was a royal bitch when she most likely demanded for the water, and could have been sleeping at the time of being served. The only time I have ever been skipped on a flight is when I fall asleep before they get to me.
I know when I was 18-years-old, I was always right and no one could prove me wrong. I know I am only 20 now, but I can admit I was a royal pain in the butt back then, some people might agree I still get that way now.
Anyway, back to these “Paris-Hilton-Kyla-Ebbert” wanna-bes [who really aren’t as beautiful as they see themselves], I hope that Southwest stands their grounds on this one. But I’ll definitely be waiting for this girls to hit the Playboy scene.

The difference between this and any other day is that the improv artists all synchronized their watches and it was on the mark, get set, stop.
On a cold Saturday in New York City, the world’s largest train station came to a sudden halt. Over 200 Improv Everywhere Agents froze in place at the exact same second for five minutes in the Main Concourse of Grand Central Station. Over 500,000 people rush through Grand Central every day, but today, things slowed down just a bit as commuters and tourists alike stopped to notice what was happening around them. Enjoy the video first and then go behind the scenes with our mission report and photos.
They have plenty of other funny videos on their .

I just read about two of Kennedy Airport’s baggage handlers stealing about $250,000 worth of diamonds and jewelry. The two people, a 51 year-old worker and a 30 year-old supervisor, are being charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property. The jewelry was in a container marked “high value” being shipped from Switzerland to Brazil.
Police are saying that supervisor broke the seals on the container and handed the other worker three boxes of jewelry. The the other worker then hid the jewelry in his jacket before putting it in a locker at an American Airlines terminal, where the investigators found it.
Both the worker and the supervisor are being held on $5,000 bail and face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

The new age of prostitution, in an article on follows these two older women from England who traveled to Kenya for sex. Allie and Bethan planned to spend a month venturing the palm-fringed beaches.
The women admit to having given them gifts, sunglasses for one and new running shoes for another.
Kenya’s tourism officials are outraged, they do not want their country known for that kind of dirty trade.
The women simply are looking for a good time, going from club to club picking up younger men. It has been widely known that richer older men have been in search of younger women, but now the women are joining the men in search of younger men. It is estimated that 1 in 5 single women travelers are traveling for sex.
An interesting view is showed by a 22-year-old participate of this practice.
Many of the visitors are on the lookout for men like Joseph.
Flashing a dazzling smile and built like an Olympic basketball star, the 22-year-old said he has slept with more than 100 white women, most of them 30 years his senior.
“When I go into the clubs, those are the only women I look for now,” he told Reuters. “I get to live like the rich mzungus (white people) who come here from rich countries, staying in the best hotels and just having my fun.”
At one club, a group of about 25 dancing men — most of them Joseph look-alikes — edge closer and closer to a crowd of more than a dozen white women, all in their autumn years.
Check out non-stop flights with Southwest.

Kyla Ebbert’s Playboy photo shoot pictures have been released!
Kyla got her 15 minutes of fame back in September for her mishap with Southwest Airlines in July.
A flight attendant from Southwest had told her that she either needed to get off the flight of change out of her micro mini skirt, her apparently see-through sweater and shirt. When she tried to explain the fact that she did not have another outfit to change into he said it would be okay if she just covered up with a blanket.
She must not have been as humiliated as she said she was when she went on the T.V. shows nearly crying because her Playboy photos say otherwise.
You can see Kyla is completely comfortable in less than her skirt and sweater. Go to Playboy.com and check out what they had to say about the situation.

The grandfather was attentive enough strap his 3 year old granddaughter into a car seat before the plane took off and it saved her life.
Heartwarming might not be the right wording but the fact that the actions of the grandfather protected this little girl is special. It’s incredibly sad that she was the only one to survive but it was only because he cared enough that allowed her to live.
I’m sure a huge amount of luck should also be included.
