Delaware State University on lock down after a shooting.
At about one a.m. ET two students were shot. The shooting took place near Memorial Hall sports arena. The male was shot once, but the female in critical condition was shottwice. The two wounded 17 year olds were taken to Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, Delaware.
The whole campus is on lock down, that includes coming in or going out while the shooter is still at large. The dorms hold about 1,700 people and the campus is about 400 acres. The campus officials have also tried to keep even the off-campus students and staff safe by posting signs, information on the university website or you can call at anytime advising students and staff to stay home and in their residence halls.
The students are shocked that this happened, saying they thought they were safe. The campus is located in Dover, the capital of Delaware.
Current news on it says they have apprehended one person of interest and are looking for a second.
The “dad of all bombs” has been tested and is reported to be four times as strong as the “mother of all bombs” which belongs to the USA. Russia is the owner of the “dad of all bombs” and this is the second test they have done that shows that it is the biggest and baddest bomb made.
CNN reported in a test done in 2003 “‘thermobaric’ weapon that explodes in an intense fireball combined with a devastating blast. It explodes in a terrifying nuclear bomb-like mushroom cloud and wreaks destruction through a massive shock wave created by the air burst and high temperature.” In a recent test CNN also reported, “the bomb dropped by parachute from a Tu-160 strategic bomber and exploding in a massive fireball. It featured the debris of apartment buildings and armored vehicles at a test range, as well as the scorched ground from a massive blast.”
DOAB - Dad of all Bombs
7.8 tons of explosive
4 times more powerful than MOAB
Equivalent to 44 tons of TNT
MOAB - Mother of all Bombs
8 tons of explosive
4 times less powerful than DOAB
Equivalent to 11 tons of TNT
So this bomb is incredibly powerful, but has no environmental damage. The blast radius is 990 feet, and that is twice the radius of the MOAB. Col.-Gen. Alexander Rukshin said the weapon was created to, “allow the military to ‘protect the nation’s security and confront international terrorism in any situation and any region.’”
The National Security Archive has obtained some previously confidential slides showing the military’s vision of “Iraq 2007” following their impending invasion. As you can see from the slides, they were juuust a bit off…
Remember, fellow citizens, we give billions upon billions of dollars to these incompetent f’ing morons.

See, this is why I voted Democrat last November. I think they are simply more vigilant on national security. We’re still in the “First 100 Hours”, and Rep. David Wu of Oregon has already made a shocking discovery.
Thanks to FushigiDenki for the find |
Something’s fishy though. This guy looks suspiciously like he could be Commander Sulu’s son. Perhaps, like Bush, Rep. Wu is finishing a war his daddy started.

It’s a brave new world, people. This week, a Brazilian man in Germany on business successfully thwarted a burglary… of his own home back in Brazil!
Everything I need to know about Brazil. |
He had his home’s security system rigged to phone him with any alerts. Upon receiving the alert, he logged into his laptop and witnessed a live video feed of the burglar in action. One phone call and a few minutes later, police back in Sao Paulo had his place surrounded. The man went on to coach the police in their arrest, telling them of the burglar’s actions and location in the home as they moved in.
Just. Awesome.

Here is a clip from a Daily Show expert, giving his point-of-view of DieBolds electronic voting systems. It’s a long clip but worth watching.
I particularly like the Transformer killing machine bit.
John Hodgman is the PC from the Mac commercilas.
Here is a little more on John Hodgman.

FutureWeapons is a great show that looks into what technology is being used to enhance our weapons to come. This is a long clip so wait a little, it will load up.
The host is Richard Machowicz (ex-Navy Seal) and in this episode he is showing a GPS Howitzer. You have to watch this clip to understand how cool and scary this really is.
You will see them point the Howitzer off target and let the GPS navigation pull it back within a few meters. Just astounding.

These IBM commercials are pretty good as a campaign.
I had 4 total to show so I have batched them together for your viewing or non-viewing pleasure.
Overall they work well individually and as a group. Some of these date back a little so nothing new.
To be honest, I’m trying to clean out all the older stuff to make room for the new.
