SNL | Governor Sarah Palin and Sen. Hillary Clinton.

It was no surprise, if you read online celebrity sites, that Tina Fey was going to be back to open the new season of SNL with her playing Governor Sarah Palin. I’m sure this clip is everywhere by now.

Pretty good opening but the rest of the show and the musical guest Lil Wayne sucked (I have the video of his first song to post later), I will focus on the poor fitting pants.

Michael Phelps tried but he is no actor and the writing seemed like the writers are still on strike. Even the digital short was worthless. Not a great season opener.

Over the years they have done some really good work. I personally like these:

This one is totally different and rather funny with Martin Scorsese trying to sell Tina Fey a time share at the end.
