Green Planet Network
by: Sarah

Here is a television network for all those hippie types.  Don’t get all hissy fit about calling you greeners hippies, at least someone cares about the planet.

Hush hush, I care about the planet, I’ve been wondering when the riots will start breaking out since the skyrocketing gas prices.  Who’s hit $4.00 a gallon?  We have!

Check this commercial out though, it’s pretty good.  I love the security guard’s line, “Nope, just naked.”

Gizmodo causes problems for people at CES
by: Sarah

Gotta love Gizmodo for causing an uproar. Over on their site they posted this video, basically all they did was get a universal switch and turned off all the TVs. Awesome, I remember that happening a lot in high school, but still funny today.

Gizmodo, A+ on that and kudos for the uproar on the Internet about it. Half the people in the comments on the video are upset, saying its childish and rude. I think it’s brilliant, yeah people worried for a minute or two there, but no harm done.

Either way, I’m happy.

This is my favorite quote, who doesn’t love long comments?

BY SAINTROBYN AT 01/10/08 01:58 PM Gizmodo is going to get its behind kicked out of the conference and asked not to attend next year. Not to mention the fact that all of the vendors that will possibly refuse to work with you again. In the end the only people who you will end up hurting is your own readers who will have to go to the competition for news since no one in the industry will talk to your site.

Was the video funny, somewhat. Could you have gotten the same laughs by going into a Best Buy and shutting down their video wall, yes.

CES is way more fun to mess with than the high schoolers at Best Buy. :)

Sony Bravia | Play Doh
by: Sarah

I stumbled upon some beautiful innovative advertisements by Sony for their Bravia televisions. This commercial just makes me miss the days of sitting at the table molding my Play Doh in odd shapes, I naturally sucked at sculpture in the Play Doh era, while my mom complained of having to clean up the mess. Sigh, fond memories.

Ephemeral artwork is always the most interesting to me. It takes a certain kind of person to make something that will deteriorate on such a short time. The most well-known ephemeral artist that comes to mind is Julian Beever, you know, that side walk chalk artist. Beever’s stuff is amazing and has been featured everywhere, almost everyone knows him, even if it isn’t by name.
