Conan, Stewart and Colbert brawl over Mike Huckabee
by: Sarah

This video right here is why late night television is hilarious, even without the writers telling them what to say. The entire fight started a few weeks ago when Conan decided to take the credit for ‘making Mike Huckabee,’ when Colbert heard this he was offended and started claiming it was the “Colbert Bump” that raised awareness of Huckabee. Jon Stewart wanted to jump into the fight and he threw some words down.

Monday night the guys all appeared on each others shows. This video I found on YouTube is obviously from Conan’s show. The fight was spectacular, a box of props and three playful imaginations. The fight was something comparable to a gladiator. Just kidding of course, these goof balls just make me laugh. I certainly loved Conan’s double punch along with the almost perfect dance moves the three bust out. Huckabee’s final message in the clip is just as awesome as the brawl, “Forget these three idiots”

Responses | Colbert makes it to the Smithsonian
by: Sarah

Here is a video someone submitted to me on the responses to Colbert being in the Smithsonian.

Back about two weeks ago I wrote about Colbert hoping and wishing to be among the Presidents, of our fine nation, in the Smithsonian. Well he finally did it, and when they let him in, they put his portrait between the bathrooms.

I don’t know if the museum director thought this out or not, but putting him in a controversial spot made him more popular. Although, as with anyone, there are some for and some against Colbert being president. You hear some say yes and others no, but people still flock to his picture.

Go Colbert!!

Colbert makes it into the Smithsonian
by: Sarah

colbert smithsonianFor those loyal fans of Stephen Colbert you’ll appreciate to know that he made it into the Smithsonian even though he didn’t get very far with his candidacy.

Although, on a slightly sour note you’ll notice that he is hung on the wall in a rather disturbing place. The director thought it was a good place for the begger, Stephen Colbert. He is hung between the bathrooms near the “American Presidents” exhibit.

Colbert recently tried to run for president as a Democrat, he went to great lengths to persuade Smithsonian Institution officials he was worthy of being in the hall.

In the first episode of his campaign that aired Jan. 10, he strapped his portrait — actually a digital image on canvas — onto his back to visit museums on the National Mall. That’s where he was rejected by Brent Glass, director of the National Museum of American History, for inclusion in the “Treasures of American History” exhibit.

Colbert then apparently tried to bribe him with his pants, I am not sure where he was going with that, but gotta love his flair.

By the third time Colbert tried to persuade the museum’s spokeswoman Bethany Bentley. She listened to what he had to say but then finished it up with saying it was just not Colbert’s time. But, once again Colbert shows the people what he is all about, and pulls another stunt.

Colbert argued he was more deserving than athletes Lance Armstrong or Andre Agassi and pulled out his Hacky Sack for a few kicks in the art gallery to prove it. “You do realize I’m in big trouble if you hit any of these portraits,” Pachter said.

Still, Colbert said he thinks his “sack work” ultimately won Pachter over for the temporary display. Colbert’s publicist did not immediately return an e-mail requesting comment.

Colbert’s picture is not permanent in any way, it will be taken down six weeks after it was put up. So, be sure to get over there and get a picture with that Washington-born badass’ picture, like the girl above did.

Late-Night hosts have returned
by: Sarah

leno letterman conan2I am thrilled to see the Late-Night hosts back in action, that’s my crowd, that’s my television. I am always up late with nothing better to watch other than Jay Leno talk, David Letterman joke and Conan O’Brien gesture and just be off the wall strange.

I actually watched Leno, Letterman and Conan last night. I loved the beard action going for Letterman and Conan, but apparently Leno didn’t get the memo. To my surprise, I found them all to be funny in their own way. Yeah, they may have stretched for some laughter here and there, but I sure do hope that they can keep up the comedy. Although, Conan will always be my homeboy. He has always made me laugh, from the good days of The Simpsons, to the times he was featured in South Park and Robot Chicken.

Check out this video I found of Conan and his Strike Beard. The artist behind the Conan cartoon face.

Have no fear, the crazy Comedy Central guys, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are scheduled to return on Monday.

Update:  I just wanted to throw this link in with this post since I thought it was funny. enjoy!
