Update:  I just bought the soundtrack and I LOVE it!!

I went to see Sex and the City on Friday night and I have to say that it was everything that I hoped it would be.   I was delighted to see the characters back together and in their normal glamourous style!  I won’t reveal any details on movie, but I will admit that I did cry, gasp, laugh.  Not everything was fun and games, just like in the series, the drama was large and I ended up mad at four characters at some point in the movie.

Go watch the movie, it is well worth the $10.00 fee!

December over on our sister site Razorfine did up a little review for the release, but I disagree with the rating personally, I’d give it at least a 4.5.  Plus, she goes off on the fact that her neighbors in the theater made her have a bad experience.

Sex and the City Extended Trailer MAY 30th!

Every once in a while I’ll hit up Google for the latest news on Sex and the City and today I stumbled upon someone who reacted differently than I thought people would to the news of Samantha being a west coast girl.

Here is an excerpt from her blog of why she is upset:

So, Cattrall told Access Hollywood: “Her [Samantha’s] location is now on another coast, so there’s a lot of beige and sunshine, the ‘Golden-Kind-of-Girl’ feeling to it, which my hair and makeup team had a ball with! There’s a lot of suntan lotion, a lot of sparkly stuff, which Samantha revels in.”

Well, this certainly makes sense within the realm of the ending — Samantha is with Smith, who is becoming a big movie star. Naturally, if she stuck with him, she’d be on her way to LA. It also fits into that whole swimsuit scene in the trailer. That being said, there’s a few problems with this. Long-distance friendship was a huge sticky point in the end of the series. So, while it makes sense, it’s hardly the best layout for showing their interconnected friendships.

Well, to put this plainly, Samantha gave up her old ways of life when she told Smith not to have sex with anyone else.

On the other hand, I am extremely excited that Samantha has committed, I know her character is promiscuous, but her actually being happy is fantastic… Especially with the character she did, so bad ass.

Long-distance friendships work, it’s not like a lover relationship, you don’t cheat on one another by making new friends.

I liked this photo since it showed so much drama, I wonder what is going on in this scene! Plus, check out the hard core Vitamin Water ad placement.

This photo is good as well, the four girls all fawning over the beautiful and talented writer, Carrie Bradshaw. Priceless, plus they are the new girls, identical to the original four. Hmm, I wonder what is going to happen there?

I am so beyond pumped, is my all time favorite drama. I also love Candace Bushnell’s other works, she is an amazing writer.

This could possibly be most excited I have been about a movie in a seriously long time. Right now, I can compare my feelings towards the May 30th release to something like the . Okay fine, maybe not that excited… but still there is still the gasp and “oh my god! I’m so excited.”

Go watch the series, Sex and the City rocks, I even know a certain guy who watches it, so it’s not just for the ladies.
