Vick publicly apologizes for dogfighting
by: Sarah

Mike Vick has found Jesus!

Vick said during his public apology that he found Jesus and he is going to turn his life over to God to allow him to better himself as a person, not a NFL player.

Vick’s apology took place in front of a hotel in Richmond, VA. He claims to be ashamed for being associated with the dogfighting ring. Apparently Vick was not exactly specific in the things he was sorry for. He called his actions immature and says he needs to grow up. Now, I think its less of the fact that its immature but cruel and unusual. Today he apologized specifically to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons Arthur Blank and his young fans that he let down.

Also to update on the previous post, the judge accepted his plea.

Vick Facing 5 Years Prison.
by: Sarah

Mike VickMike Vick the Atlanta Falcon’s Quarterback could possibly be facing 5 years of prison for his dog fighting ring. “Bad Newz Kennels” was the name of the enterprise Vick and three others started in 2001. Between 2001 and 2007 “Bad Newz Kennels” had traveled for and hosted many dog fights. The dog fights hosted by “Bad Newz Kennels” were done at Vick’s Virginia property.

Vick’s property in Virginia was raided on April 25th of this year and the investigators found over 50 neglected pit bulls. These pit bulls showed obvious signs of being in fights, upon more investigation they found dog fight training equipment.

Vick agreed with the Statement of Facts stating that he started this enterprise in 2001 and it logged everything about “Bad Newz Kennels” up till now. Vick also agreed to the killing of six to eight dogs by hanging or drowning, due to the fact that they did not perform well in the training sessions.Pitbull Fighting

$250,000 fine.

5 years imprisonment.

3 years additional supervision upon release.

Justified for the abused animals between 2001 and 2007?
