Girl Scout troop sells 17,328 boxes

Girl Scout

Uh, where are my cookies? I always miss out on the goodies, I need to find some little girl scouts to sell me cookies, they never hit up my neighborhood.

I was shocked when I read this story though, 17,000 boxes is a lot of cookies, but it isn’t anywhere near impossible. Think about it, everyone loves girl scout cookies, who can say no?

Jennifer Sharpe, a 15-year-old from Dearborn, sold 17,328 boxes of Girl Scout cookies this year, which shatters her troop’s old record and is believed to be a national record, though Girl Scouts of the USA doesn’t track individual sales.

I always thought they tracked individual sales, but I guess that keeps them from competing with ill-mannered thoughts about the competition.

Why did these girls work so hard to push these delicious cookies on to willing customers? So they could take a trip to Europe of course! They saved up $21,000 for their trip and were able to take a 10-day tour next winter.

Troop 813 is the super-selling troop, and this isn’t the first time that they have succeeded at selling their weight and then some in cookies. These girls funded their trip on a Caribbean cruise, and were also able to swim with dolphins with that money.
