Dale Davis of Alta, Iowa suffered from macular degeneration for the past decade. His left eye is completely blind and his right eye has limited peripheral vision. Since 1997 he hasn’t been able to see, but on Saturday he threw 12 consecutive strikes at a bowling alley in Iowa. This is the first perfect game in that alley since 1984, so the onlookers were pretty excited.
Century Lanes owner Clem Ledoux said Davis’ game didn’t draw much attention until he reached 10 strikes. That’s when folks poured out of the bar to watch his final two shots.
Man, in a real alley I can’t throw higher than 100. In Wii bowling my high score is 250, but that was all luck.
