This is a really interesting video from . They are focused on the Barack Obama web movement.
The year that the Internet changed American politics is a big statement but I think it is valid.
It’s a long clip but worth watching.
DHADM posted a quick story about the Obama VP pick here, Barack Obama Will Tell His VP Pick By Text and Email

Ok, this is a cool move, like Obama or not.
This plays directly into the segment of the audience that he is going after.
If John McCain want’s to beat that he better post his VP on Twitter and add him to his LinkedIn right now.
If I was running the Barack campaign, I would have some fun with this one and this audience. Make them click a few times to keep the web traffic up.

US political junkies will be casting nervous glances at their mobile phones this week, with Democratic White House pick Barack Obama promising to name his running mate by text message and email.
In an unprecedented move, the Obama campaign says it will first reveal his choice of vice presidential nominees not to the political media pack, but to the two million supporters who have bankrolled his tilt at history.

I’m not going to get all political here on DHADM, plenty of other sites for that, so I will address the commercial and not who to vote for.
The commercial is actually really good, it set up the candidate, it implies the oil free future, new skilled jobs…very comforting. Good copy, good VO and good art direction (for a campaign ad).
Regardless of who the candidate is, this is a good ad. If you stick Obama or McCain on the end it would be a good commercial, so the only question is do you believe in the “hand” that paid for this commercial can achieve what it promotes?

The scene starts out with the heated boring debate that took place the Tuesday before.
The Hillary parts were dry, but listening to the Bullwinkle, I mean Obama impression, that was funny.
Here is the SNL | Barack Obama opener, which was pretty good at the time, and his ever enticing top ten list of campaign promises. But don’t forget the Viva Obama, these amigos support Obama.

Will Smith, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, wants to be President. His ultimate goal was to be the first black President, but with Obama in the race for the 2008 election he may not have the chance for that title.
Smith has huge plans to help American healthcare and homelessness, things that he doesn’t see President Bush accomplishing in the final stint of his Presidency.
“The basis of human sanity is physical survival, right? So I’d start with universal healthcare and shelter. I can’t see that happening under Bush. Too many bad things have happened under his presidency.
“I don’t believe he is an evil man, I just think he has an unevolved perspective. It’s a good thing he’s served his time. Now it’s time for Barack Obama.”
Smith is a big supporter of Obama’s bid for the Democrat nomination for the 2008 election.
He’s reportedly contributed to Obama’s campaign and made a video with other Hollywood stars in support. The actor has also expressed a desire to play the Illinois senator in a film of his life.
You can read the rest of that in the article posted .
