This is a sad day for me. I grew up on George Carlin on HBO specials from the time I entered the USA.

He was American counter-culture. I agreed and disagreed with him but most of all he made me laugh.

George C is a generation away from me (maybe 2) but what he said and how he said it was fitting for every generation.

I’m sorry he went so soon but glad I got to know his point-of-view on the stage, his interpretation of life, politics but mostly religion.

Goodbye George Carlin, We will miss you and your unique sense of humor.

Oh boy oh boy!! Who went to his concert? Not me, I was working, though my boss and I were thinking of closing shop. To be honest though, I don’t watch American Idol, I don’t have the patience or the time, except for auditions and the funny bits at the end. But David Cooke certainly is a good singer.  He just spent his time back in Kansas City riding in limos, singing at free concerts and enjoying a parade in his honor.

Gotta love that girl who is bawling as he signs her piece of poster board.  I just don’t understand the emotions behind the screaming and tears of die hard fans.  I only enjoy it because that person looks completely ridiculous.

I’ve posted quite a bit about the Nick Bollea and John Graziano wreck… I have to ask, is this fair?

I wonder what people think out there on this subject, I have had comments from both sides of the fence, but most people seem to be for Graziano not Hogan.

I read somewhere that Edward Graziano said “What Al Qaeda didn’t do to my son, Nick Bollea did it in a matter of minutes.” Think about that, then make judgment on what he was sentenced. Let me know, I am totally interested in others opinions on this.

Beware celebrity endorsement is right, just because Tom Hanks spoke fancy words doesn’t mean you have to follow his lead. But oddly enough his little moment will help many people decide who to vote for.  Obama has other celebrities backing him up: Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen and Jessica Alba.

I don’t know many Zune people, but there are some out there, and this should excite them. Microsoft Zune fans will soon have the ability to download popular t.v. shows directly to their Zune!! At $1.99 each you can get shows like South Park, Battle Star Galactica, Heroes and my favorite The Office.

Marilyn Monroe hit the media again and this time she is attached to a $1.5 million dollar sale. What was sold you might ask? Well, naturally it’s her sex tape, that’s right folks, Marilyn Monroe just does not stop rolling down that media hill.

Wealthy and honest business man, who remains anonymous, just brought more dirt up on Marilyn Monroe. He just purchased her secret sex tape from the 1950’s. That’s right, vintage porn, and take a guess at how much her 15 minute black and white x-rated sex flick went for. If you guessed $1.5 million, you’re right on the money. This honest business man is keeping the film a secret still, well about as much of a secret as he can, to protect Marilyn’s image.

The man behind the sale is Keya Morgan, a producer and collector. Keya acquired the knowledge of the film while interviewing an FBI agent about the case. The FBI confiscated the original film, but the one purchased was actually a copy, made by an informant. This informant turned down a $25,000 deal by Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn’s ex-husband, who just wanted to keep the video from surfacing.

It is undetermined who the male is, even after and 9 FBI agents spent countless hours reviewing the films frame by frame. Some suggest that the male might have been John F. Kennedy, but I guess no one will ever know.

Those who were shocked by , well… It isn’t true.  It’s just a Nike commercial, and a good one at that.  It has gotten so much hype that I must say, well done to Nike.  The marketing kids over at Nike actually did a good job, they took something outrageous, yet probable and posted it on YouTube.  Where the internet community took it viral within a short period of time.  Now, the longevity of this commercial, at least among the internet crowd, might dwindle as the weeks wear on.  But, it still is a good commercial.  Here is Kobe saying, “It’s Hollywood,” when asked how he did it.

Wow, Youzhny is a sore loser. At the ATP Masters, Mikhail Youzhny and Nicolas Almagro are battling to win. Youzhny misses the game point and begins beating his head with his tennis racket. After hitting himself in the head with his racket repeatedly he starts to bleed. Blood running down his forehead, he plays if off like “I meant to do that,” but I bet he really feels like a dumbass.

It’s okay Youzhny you aren’t always going to win that shot.

David Cook, one of the better finalists on American Idol, was sent to the hospital after the show Tuesday night. He apparently was experiencing stress-related heart palpitations. But have no fear, he was released from the hospital later with a prescription to lower his blood pressure.

I’m sure he will be back on the stage as soon as he can, but hopefully the Idol stress on top of the stress of finding out his brother has cancer won’t get to him again and send him into cardiac arrest.

In case of cardiac arrest you can now use the hands only method of CPR, rapid chest compressions 100 per minute.

Wow, this little lady is less than great. Lauren on America’s Next Top Model went blank, as if she wasn’t already, when Tyra asked her to show a sexy pose of her palms hurting. I bet Tyra’s stalker Brady Green would have done a better job at that pose than that blank-minded girl. The rest of the ladies played their parts graciously, even if some of theirs were super easy.

I love America’s Next Top Model, but I don’t always get to watch the entire series. I tend to watch it when I go over to one of my girl friends house, she is way more devoted than I.
