Just what this world needs, more wealthy dogs.
What is running through the minds of rich folk leaving their fortunes to their beloved pets?
I mean, seriously, these people leave billions to pets who have no idea what they have inherited.
I just read an article about 3 happy pups who inherited $800,000. Now, they aren’t as rich as Leona Helmsley’s little maltese Trouble, but they still have a $400,000 estate, plus the other $400,000.
These people must be insane to leave that kind of money in the hands of their dogs. Their little pooches are only going to live another 6 months to a year after their owner’s passing… so why?
The dogs — named Buckshot, Katie and Obu-Jet — inherited $400,000 and a house in Hagerstown with the death last year of owner Ken Kemper. Altogether, their estate is worth about $800,000.
The beagle and two Labrador mixes were strays when Kemper adopted them. They now live at their house with caretaker Roy Grady.
They might not be aware of their wealth, but they do know that on one night a week Grady treats them to spaghetti dinner, with meatballs and garlic bread.
That’s it? vet bills and spaghetti with garlic bread? they better be eating off a gold plate for only getting one day of luxury as rich dogs.

It’s funny that you used a picture of chuck, the family dog of well known blogger Dooce.
I thought the dog was cute
oh he is cute! I was just saying I thought it was funny is all..I got confused when I landed here and saw chuck hehe
I just wanna say those dogs are probably more deserving of the good life than most humans! And hopefully a shelter will get the moola after they have passed on.
I totally agree FuzzButt, but only getting one meal a week? Shoot, if I wrote that will for my dogs, they would be eating steak and chicken daily.
But, with the left over money will go to a shelter or organization to help other dogs like Kemper helped these three. That is awesome, I hope his money which he selflessly gave will help several shelters or whatever.. how cool of him.
