Fair Game - Cindy Crawford at Her Worst
by: DS

I’m posting this because it was on the other night and I was shocked by how bad this movie is and this clip shows why. Fair Game, no not the Scientology term, was perhaps the worst move of 1995. Watch this monstrosity and try to tell me otherwise.

The computer nerd, the hot chick and every cliché in the book (at the time the movie was made) make me feel a little sick inside. This is one of the worst movies I have seen and I watch them all.

Cindy Crawford ends her acting career with this performance but you must love her URL www.cindy.com.

Sex and the City movie photos
by: Sarah

Since Sex and the City is such a hot item right now, here is a link to a bunch of pictures. I still am super pumped for the May release, and probably will update here and there until the release [possibly write a review afterwards as well] so please check back for more information!!

Here are a couple of pictures I liked:

sex and the city ad placement

I liked this photo since it showed so much drama, I wonder what is going on in this scene! Plus, check out the hard core Vitamin Water ad placement.

sex and the city the new girls

This photo is good as well, the four girls all fawning over the beautiful and talented writer, Carrie Bradshaw. Priceless, plus they are the new girls, identical to the original four. Hmm, I wonder what is going to happen there?

Sex and the City Extended Trailer MAY 30th!
by: Sarah

I am so beyond pumped, is my all time favorite drama. I also love Candace Bushnell’s other works, she is an amazing writer.

This could possibly be most excited I have been about a movie in a seriously long time. Right now, I can compare my feelings towards the May 30th release to something like the . Okay fine, maybe not that excited… but still there is still the gasp and “oh my god! I’m so excited.”

Go watch the series, Sex and the City rocks, I even know a certain guy who watches it, so it’s not just for the ladies.

Edison Chen quits showbiz “indefinitely”
by: Sarah

edison chenThe other day I read an article about a Hong Kong singer and actor named Edison Chen.  The article was about how he announced his break from the entertainment industry after the sex scandal incident.

Chen took his laptop into a repair shop and while it was there, the squad of geeks took some 1,300 photos off the hard drive.  These photos were of Chen and about 6 different female celebrities.

“These photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone,” the 27-year-old said in a calm voice amid a flood of camera flashes from the hundreds of reporters gathered.

“I have failed as a role model. However I wish that this matter will teach everyone a lesson.”

He said in a brief statement he would fulfill existing commitments before stepping down “indefinitely.” He added that he would dedicate himself to charity and community work.

The only reason why I even bothered mentioning this is because this is what our pop-whores, I mean stars, should do when they jack up their image.  I mean, take Spears, either one, if the girls would just quit doing what they are doing they wouldn’t hit the tabloids so hard.  Although it is big sis Brit who made little Jamie Lynne such a starlet in the gossip columns.  Is anyone else tired of seeing their RSS feeds filled with the Spears’ life?  I don’t even subscribe to celebrity gossip RSS’ but CNN covers a lot of the Spears happenings.

Johnny Knoxville on Jimmy Kimmel Live after his injury
by: Sarah

The Johnny Knoxville injury is rather popular at the moment and I happened to stumble upon his Jimmy Kimmel Live spot. Here is the videos available, plus! it has real footage of his wreck. Major bonus!!

Knoxville was told not to let go of the bike, no matter what don’t let go. He let go and that is how he ended up this way. It’s funny to see his first attempt, which is also in the video clips, he fell off straight away before he even hit the ramp.

Good score for Knoxville even though he did get hurt. Lots of publicity involved and now the world has seen his princess bedazzled pee bag strapped to his ankle, that he kept for one more day just for Jimmy Kimmel.

The second clip talks about his new website JackassWorld and Steve-O’s rap album coming out soon.

Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston together in Marley and Me
by: Sarah

Marley Aniston OwenOwen Wilson is back after the late summer suicide attempt. He is back and filming with his co-star Jennifer Aniston. What movie? , you know, that 300-page book that was really popular after its debut in 2006.

The story, if you haven’t read the book, is about a couple who adopts a puppy to do a sort of trial run at parenthood. The couple is a little surprised when they figure out how mischievous their precious pup really is.

The movie is said to be released Christmas Day for those who actually do stuff on Christmas Day…

A live action Akira is supposed to hit the big screen 2009
by: Sarah

AkiraI was reading around on a sister site of ours, .alphamonkey from Transbuddha wrote about the new Akira movie that should hit by 2009

For those of you who do not know Akira, then you probably are too young. I myself have not seen the 1988 film, since I was only one year old when it came out. I do plan to watch the anime in the next couple of days, if not tonight, out of curiosity though.

Akira is well known amongst the anime fans for its being a classic but at the same time having a nice modern look. Most consider it one of the best, I will update with how I feel about it once I finish it.

The reason why I brought this anime to attention now is because Warner Brothers has decided to turn the 6 series manga into a 2 part feature film. Honestly, I am a little excited to see this, people say that the original ’88 film is good, I hope that the ‘09+ is better. Over on Transbuddha he says,

Astounding visuals and style aside: the film version is actually pretty bad. It compresses far too much information into a muddy mess of pseudo philosophy and new agey weirdness, and the last 20 minutes are pretty damn cringe-inducing.

Here is hoping to the new Akira being better than the last. Go to read more about the WB plans for Akira in 2009.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
by: Sarah

imaginariumI was just reading about the movie that Heath Ledger was supposed to be in for 2009.  The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ filming was suspended after the accidental drug over dose of Ledger back at the end of January.

The movie has been saved by including three extremely talented actors: Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell.

Rumor has it that the original footage containing Ledger will remain, while the other three  actors will play reincarnations of Ledger’s character.

With those three taking over for Ledger I am sure the film will turn out to be something worth seeing.

A quick excerpt from the movie synopsis on imdb

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary ‘Imaginarium’, a traveling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom.
